Happy Easter & IAST

Hello together,

Because it's the Easter weekend Adele gave us a string that looks like a egg for It's a String Thing #137. I love this string and had immediately an idea how to fill it. Because it's Easter and the egg should be a real Easter egg I added a bit of colour to my tile. The patterns we should use are Mel Mel by Adele Bruno, Zenith and Warped Eggs.

I wish you all a great and happy Easter weekend.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Tangle-Mosaik-Projekt by Lonetta

Hello together,

Annette started a great project at her blog: the Tangle-Mosaic-Project. She created a string that everyone who wants to take part can tangle with patterns he likes and Annette created a mosaic with this tiles.
The results from the first project you can see here.
My tiles for this project are these:

Annette made two great variations of a mosaic with my tiles.

The Tangle-Mosaic-Project #2 is now to find here and you can still submit your tile by 30th March 2016.

I created two tiles. With the first I was not satisfied so I started a second with the patterns Tipple, Fescu, Shattuck, Henna Drums and Crescent Moon.

After finishing this I decided to give the first tile a second try and also finished it. It's not so good like the other one I find but I used my new patterns Flaura and Loopy Blossom for it. I also used Knightsbridge and Flux.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

mail from USA & IAST

Hello together,

last week I got mail from the USA two times. I am from Germany so this is a great thing for me. The first was an envelope I was still waiting for for 8 weeks.  It was from Adele Bruno. In January I tangled the "tile of honors" for It's a String Thing #127 (see my post here). For this she send me a "certificate" I am very proud of.

The second envelope was the new book by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, the "Zentangle PRIMER Vol.  1". I was sooooo happy when I had this book in my hands.

And there was another great moment when I read the new challenge for this week's It's a String Thing . March, 14th was Pi-Day and Adele based the challenge on this. You must know I am a great fan of Pi. It's my so called favorite number so I absolutely had to do this challenge.
When I learned about Pi in class 8 at school I was immediately fascinated by it and learned 200 digits after the comma by heart. That could sound a bit crazy to some people but I found it great. Meantime I don't know 200 but still 35 digits by heart. That's why I really wanted to do this challenge and tried to do well.

After taking this photo I further had an idea. I wrote the digits of Pi as a frame around the tile. I didn't know all this digits by heart but I always have a sheet of paper with about 2500 digits in my purse (another crazy thing of mine).

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

new tangle pattern & Diva Challenge

Hello together,

the last few weeks were full of patterns. Two days after sending my first pattern Candy Waves to Linda, another new pattern developed while doodling. This was Flaura.
And now only four weeks later I saw another great pattern in the friends book of my daughter.

By the first sight I thought it will be difficult to draw but I tried different ways to deconstruct the pattern in it's steps and thought I create an easy step-by-step instruction for it.  Now the name: I thought about this quite a while, tried different variations and finally decided for Loopy Blossom.

Hope you have fun with it!

Now to the Diva. This week the theme for the Diva Challenge #259 is "Touch of Irish" because it's St. Patrick's Day. I drew a pot of gold and tangled around it. I used Vano, Candy Waves and furthermore my new pattern, so this is the first tile with Loopy Blossom.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Inchie, Twinchie & more

Hello together,

another week, another challenge. But last week I missed the EIM-challenge so I drew my inchie with theme spaceship today.

The new theme for the current challenge on
Every Inchie Monday  is "Island".

For the twinchie challenge on
Two by Two by Tuesday  we should create a piece of art that reflects our Sign. I was born in the year of the Tiger and in the Sign of Libra. In my twinchie I tried to combine these two in a funny way.

Last but not least I also want to show you another crocheting project of mine. This purse is the birthday present for my grandma. After seeing the little purse I have crocheted for my daughter my grandma also wanted one. For hers I tried harder and I'm really satisfied with the result.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

IAST & Tackle it Tuesday

Hello together,

for the challenge It's a String Thing #135 Adele gave us a string that she created especially for St. Patrick's Day and already used the third year. We also should use her pattern Lucky and if we want another pattern of our choice. I choose my new own pattern Flaura. Then I created a variation of Lucky and Flaura for the third fillable area of the tile.

At Tackle it Tuesday #90 Cheryl asked us to use the letters M-O-N for our patterns. I took Maryhill, Oskie and the new pattern Namody by Simone Menzel who will become a CZT in April and who lives only 30 km away from me. We didn't met yet but I hope that we could get to know each other soon.
I also used the string 008.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Twinchie and IAST

Hello together,

this week we had a magical theme for the twinchie challenge at Two by Two by Tuesday - "Unicorn"!
I drew two unicorns that put their horns together and unfold the magic between them. To highlight this magic moment I used a blacklight gelly roll and make another photo using the blacklight.

For It's a String Thing #134 we should use string 131 and the three youngest published patterns on http://tanglepatterns.com/: Sati, Tamisolo and Fission.
I'm not really satisfied with the result this week because my concentration was disturbed by my daughter who had problems to fall asleep at this evening. Nevertheless here is my tile:

Diva Challenge #257

Hello together,

this week we had a guest post by Amy Broady, CZT for the Diva Challenge #257. We should make our tiles shine, gleam or glint. I decided to use a black tile and my gold and silver metallic and the white Gelly Roll Pen. The result is a monotangle of my new pattern Flaura (instruction here). The glitter effect is not so good to see but I tried to get a good photo of it.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.
