Zentangle + crocheting

Hello together,

this week at It's a String Thing #133 we should use the string 133 and the patterns Fife,  Yincut and Flukes

At Every Inchie Monday we should interpret the keyword "Towel". I drew an inchie with the four towels of me and my family.

I also want to show you two other pieces of art I created last week. The first is a present for the 80. birthday of my husband's grandma.

The second is not Zentangle but a crocheting project on behalf of my little daughter. She wanted a little bag in her favorite colour blue because her older sister also has got one in red. So I directly started crocheting and finished the bag still on the same evening.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Every Inchie Monday

Hello together,

last week I missed the EIM-challenge because I was very busy and had no real idea for the theme. This week the theme at Every Inchie Monday  is "Earth" and for this there came immediately a picture in my mind.
Here is my entry for this week's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

New tangle pattern "Flaura" + IAST

Hello together,

today I want to show you my new tangle pattern "Flaura". I didn't want to create a new pattern. It just came to me.
I spend the weekend with my family in Görlitz to help my sister with her move in the new apartment.
After a long day I sat on the floor of this new apartment (my sister hasn't got chairs) and desired to tangle. But because I didn't have my tangle kit with me, I took a sheet of paper and a pencil from my children's painting materials and began to scribble. The result was this (there is also a drawing from my daughter :-))

I realized that this flower could be a new tangle pattern. I found a name very fast (flower+aura=Flaura) and when I came home again this afternoon I directly drew the step-by-step instruction for it and some variations, too.

Hope you had fun with "Flaura"!

I also want to show you my tile for It's a String Thing #132. All the patterns Dillo, Tattle and Tribine were new to me. I absolutely wanted to try Dillo and I love Tattle because it's a pi-based pattern and I'm a great fan of pi.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Diva Challenge, ATC and crochet snowman

Hello together,

This week the diva had a very interesting challenge for us. "Ghosts of Tangles Past" is the theme. We should choose a tile that we tangled in the past and recreate it. The first time I heard about Zentangle and fell in love with it was in Summer 2013. The tile I choose is one of my first attempts in Zentangle.

For my diva tile I used the same patterns Knightsbridge, Tipple, Crescent Moon, Static and Fescu. I only changed Nekton into Keeko because it's similar but not so chaotic. The arrangement of the patterns and the string is also the same. Nevertheless the result is absolutely different.

I also want to show you my new tangled ATC. I drawed this just for fun and made a "pure" and a coloured version of it.

And last another little crochet snowman from "Frozen Fever" for my daughters.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Challenges

Hello together,

for the weekly Diva Challenge we should create a tile for Valentin's Day. I think I will make a birthday card for my grandpa who celebrates his 80th birthday this weekend with my tile.

patterns: Aquafleur, Henna Drums

The theme for It's a String Thing #131  by Adele Bruno is also love and hearts for Valentin's Day. We used string 039 and the patterns Heartstrings, Amore and Knightsbridge.

And last but not least my tile for Tackle it Tuesday #86. This week we should use the first letter of our partner's name for the choice of patterns. I choose patterns with letter "D" and string 004.

patterns : Diamond Panes, DL Sunray, Diva Dance

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Every Inchie Monday + crochet piece

Hello together,

This week the keyword for the Every Inchie Monday - challenge is "slippers". First I had no idea how to overcome this challenge without just drawing some slippers. I wanted to create a scene. And then there came at once three situations in my mind in which I think of slippers. So I drew three inchies this week.

Today I want to show you also another little project of mine.  The instruction is written by me.
It's a little snowman from the movie "Frozen Fever" that I crochet for my two daughters who are great fans of "Frozen".

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Every Inchie Monday

Hello together,

The keyword for this week's challenge at Every Inchie Monday is "bulldozer". I had to google how a bulldozer looks like because I was not able to draw one from memory.

And this is what comes out. Looks a bit like a child's drawing.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.
