New tangle, IAST and Tangle Mosaic

Hello together,

In one of my latest posts I show this photo:

a tile in honour of my grandfather who passed away some weeks ago.

In this tile I used a new tangle for the first time.
I drew this tangle before only as a sketch on an ordinary sheet of paper but when I saw it on this tile it looks so good that I wanted to deconstruct it. It`s a quite simple pattern and remembered me of roses, so I called it “Rosie“:

This pattern lives like many others from shading and also looks so great with colour.
Hope you like it and try it out, too.

This week Adele goes on with her spring string theme. This week`s string is a very loopy one and she choose some fresh tangles like the new pattern Patience, a very light and airy one with CO2  and Aura-Leah.
And this is what I made for It`s a String Thing #189.

Annette`s Tangle Mosaic Project #7 is going on. I didn`t miss one of her challenges yet and for this one I tangled two tiles. You can find all about this wonderful project here on Annette`s blog.

Last but not least I want to show you an ATC with the idiom “Luck is the only thing that will be doubled if you share it.“ I tangled this just for fun.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

MacNCheese and IAST

Hello together,

This week the Diva asked us to tangle our "MacNCheese-tangles", tangles that we use very often. One of my favorite patterns is Tipple and for the Diva Challenge #308 I combined it with Knightsbridge, another easy-to-draw and relaxing tangle.

For Adele's It's a String Thing #188 we had a swirly string and some organic patterns to celebrate the beginning of spring.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Diva Challenge #306 + #307, IAST and more

Hello together,

this week is a UMT (Use My Tangle) week at the Diva Challenge #306 and Laura asked us to tangle "Amphora" by Lily Moon, a great Zentangle artist.
I started my tile with a "M" string in honor of my grandpa Manfred who died a few weeks ago and then tangled a monotangle of this beautyful pattern.

I also tangled a tile for my grandpa's funeral. I want to give this to my grandma because she couldn't be there because she was in hospital.

Last week Adele gave us a Pi string for IAST #186. I love this challenge because I love Pi. The chosen tangles Wacho, Pokeroot and W2 were the ingredients for a yummy pie tile.

Then I saw the latest Kitchen Table Tangle video today on the mosaic app. It was not a video  of Maria or Rick. This lesson was taught by Indy and Mazzy, Molly's daughters. It is so cute. You can see it here on the Zentangle blog. I found this so great, they both knew absolutely what they want to do and were talking so professionel. I wanted to try this, too. I worked through the lesson how they explained and tangled this: (also for the Diva Challenge #307)

In the post Molly talked about how she learned from her children and asked what we learned from children. I also learn a lot from my two daughters: their perspectives of the world but also new things about myself and I totally agreed with Molly that it is a great pleasure to have children and to work with them. I always enjoy these creative moments with my girls at home. Here you see their latest artworks.

Paintings by my daughter Yuna (3)

Paintings by my daughter Kiara (6)
And they really painted this without help and absolutely knew what they want. My younger daughter for example insisted that this canvas stayed green although I asked her repeatedly if she doesn't want to add something else.
So in the end I was just the assistent who took the paint on a plate.

Last but not least I want to show you my latest sewing project: a violet heart pillow for my youngest daughter Yuna. So now there is one pillow for both of my girls.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.
