Hello together,
this week I found time to join in some challenges.
The first is the Diva Challenge #298. This week was a UMT (Use My Tangle) challenge. The tangle of the week is Orbs-la-Dee by Anneke van Dam. I had the idea of integrating this pattern in my own "Candy Waves". Here is the result :
The second challenge is It's a String Thing #179. This week Adele gave us a very loopy string and the tangles Betweed, Dust Bunny and Curl.
Last but not least the inchie for Every Inchie Monday. This week's theme is "hamster".
I also had the time to finish a new sewing project - a mosaic heart pillow with a little pocket - for my daughter.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

It's a String Thing
Hello together,
My first post in 2017, so HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you.
Here are my tiles for IAST #175. I tangled two tiles because I had so much fun with that new tangle Drawings by Rick and Maria.
And here my contribution to IAST #178. This week Adele asked us to draw "MySwing" by Simone Menzel. You must know Simone lives only 30 km away from me so I have a special connection to her although I didn't met her personal yet. But I really want to.
And I absolutely wanted to do this challenge. This was my first try of MySwing and I enjoyed it. I think I will use it more often.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Diva Challenge & my Christmas tree tiles
Hello together,
After reading the newsletter from Rick and Maria where they introduced their new 3Z Tiles, my first reaction was "I need these tiles!" and my order was placed. Then I thought "What could come next? A Hexagon tile or oval tiles?" And then I head that special idea of Christmas tree tiles. It's Christmas time at all!
I took an Apprentice tile and started to construct my "tree". I cut 4 Christmas tree tiles out of one Apprentice tile. The angle at the top of the tree is 30 degree and the length of a side is 10 cm (approx. 4").
The next step was to cut out the tiles, to round the corners and the Christmas tree tiles were finished.
The first four tiles were grabbed by my daughter. She made wonderful Christmas tree decoration of it.
I used one for the Diva Challenge #296. This week is a Use My Tangle Challenge and the tangle is Moowa by Anya Ipsen , CZT.
I hope you like this little idea and one more thing:
PLEASE TRY THIS AT HOME! ;-)
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

And there are so many possibilities what to do with these little tiles. It can be a Christmas tree ornament or a gift tag. You can use it to create Greeting cards or make some mosaics...

IAST, a tangled water can and the Diva
Hello together,
The challenge this week at Adele's It's a String Thing #172 includes a wonderful string and the tangles Cubine, Ennies and Fescu that are all familiar to me. I like all three patterns very much and had a lot of ideas how to arrange the patterns on my tile. I decided to draw two of it.
I also tangled the Christmas present for my grandma. She wanted to have a new water can and I bought a blank white one and tangled on it.
For the Diva Challenge #295 Laura asked us again to use reticula and fragments for our tiles. This is mine.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

Diva Challenge #294
Hello together,
this week we should use reticula and fragments in the new Diva Challenge. This way to tangle was introduced by Rick and Maria in their book "Zentangle PRIMER Vol. 1" and has endless possibilities and very interesting results.
I drew my fragment on the back of my tile.
For my tile I tried different arrangements of the fragments and this is the result.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.

the last months
Hello together,
the last months I only had few time to tangle because of work and other creative projects. So for example I started learning to sew.
Here my first projects:
I also draw some other things like colouring pages for my children but also a few Zentangle tiles:
In memory of our grandma Janni:

Zentangle for peace
Hello together,
because of the recent events in America when black men were killed by the police and in response a gunman killed five officers, PEACE was a main theme in the challenges this week.
In Joey's weekly tangle challenge #121 and her 6th circular string challenge she asked us to use the peace string in combination with the tangle Organic. I had to practice this new-to-me-tangle a bit and also added Tipple and Printemps.
For the Diva Challenge #275 this week there was a guest post by Suzanne Fluhr, CZT. Her theme for the challenge is "Give Peace a chance" so the tile for Joey's challenge could also fit for the diva. But I found another great string that I absolutely wanted to try.
The motif of this "heart of shaking hands" is the response from Freebird to the Two by Two by Tuesday-challenge "Hearts". I thought it was very suitable for the challenge.
Last but not least my entry for Adele's It's a String Thing #153. This week we should make a monotangle with Crescent Moon. It's one of my favorite patterns and I wanted to do something special. I hope I succeeded! I drew a normal and a negative version of Cresent Moon and then added a version with full circles that look a bit like moon phases. Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.
