Hello together,
because of the recent events in America when black men were killed by the police and in response a gunman killed five officers, PEACE was a main theme in the challenges this week.
In Joey's weekly tangle challenge #121 and her 6th circular string challenge she asked us to use the peace string in combination with the tangle Organic. I had to practice this new-to-me-tangle a bit and also added Tipple and Printemps.
For the Diva Challenge #275 this week there was a guest post by Suzanne Fluhr, CZT. Her theme for the challenge is "Give Peace a chance" so the tile for Joey's challenge could also fit for the diva. But I found another great string that I absolutely wanted to try.
The motif of this "heart of shaking hands" is the response from Freebird to the Two by Two by Tuesday-challenge "Hearts". I thought it was very suitable for the challenge.
Last but not least my entry for Adele's It's a String Thing #153. This week we should make a monotangle with Crescent Moon. It's one of my favorite patterns and I wanted to do something special. I hope I succeeded! I drew a normal and a negative version of Cresent Moon and then added a version with full circles that look a bit like moon phases. Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.
Greetings
TINA

LöschenAll of your work is absolutely lovely! I especially like your String challenge piece. Your variations of Crescent Moon (one of my favorite patterns) are great. I'll have to try some of them;-)
AntwortenLöschenThank you, Michele. Crescent Moon is one of my favorite patterns, too and I use it very often. So for this challenge it was important for me to do something special with it.
LöschenBeautiful work! The one for peace is stunning! Love the black in the background!
AntwortenLöschenThank you so much, Anita.
