This week the diva had a very interesting challenge for us. "Ghosts of Tangles Past" is the theme. We should choose a tile that we tangled in the past and recreate it. The first time I heard about Zentangle and fell in love with it was in Summer 2013. The tile I choose is one of my first attempts in Zentangle.
For my diva tile I used the same patterns Knightsbridge, Tipple, Crescent Moon, Static and Fescu. I only changed Nekton into Keeko because it's similar but not so chaotic. The arrangement of the patterns and the string is also the same. Nevertheless the result is absolutely different.
I also want to show you my new tangled ATC. I drawed this just for fun and made a "pure" and a coloured version of it.
And last another little crochet snowman from "Frozen Fever" for my daughters.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your comments.
Greetings
TINA
I burst into laughter when I saw your little snowman at the end. Nothing wrong with the little snowman, I just wasn't expecting to see him! I think you first tile looked very good, I wouldn't have known how to do Necton and the shading on the Knightsbridge looks better than basic. Nevertheless your tile from today does look improved
AntwortenLöschenThanks a lot, Yorkshire Tortoise. I'm very pleased that my little snowman brings so much joy to you. :)
LöschenGreat work. My mom knitted me an Olaf for Christmas this past year.
AntwortenLöschenThank you, Beth. Yes, Olaf is great, but he is much more difficult to knit or crochet. That's why I started with this little snowman.
LöschenYour original tile is lovely. The second, you have become more relaxed and allowed the tangles to move more. Shading also is added in a more pleasing way. Love the negative space butterflies. And, I love that your adorable snowman sits on a Zentangle kit box!
AntwortenLöschenThank you, Jean. Oh yes, you can see the Zentangle logo. I didn't recognized this yet. But it's a funny detail.
LöschenYour tiles are all so lovely. The difference between the two Diva pieces is really amazing. The shading and sparkle give it life. That little snowman is adorable;-)
AntwortenLöschenThank you, Michele. Yes I also think that the second tile is not so monotonous and has more movement.
LöschenA really super design for your Diva challenge, great texture and perspective, Tina.
AntwortenLöschenThank you, Shelly. Have a nice day.
LöschenLove how you did those butterflies!
AntwortenLöschenThank you, Wendy.
LöschenIsn´t it wonderful to see all this improvement! I love it!
AntwortenLöschenThanks for your comment, Anita. Yes it's really amazing.
LöschenYour work, all of it, brought a smile to my face. It's a pleasure to see it.
AntwortenLöschenThank you so much for your lovely words, magratscraft. It's a great pleasure for me when my art brings so much joy.
LöschenSo much more relaxed! Lovely snowman.
AntwortenLöschenThanks a lot, Anne.
LöschenSuch a great evolution. I adore your little snowman! So cute!
AntwortenLöschenThank you so much, Kate.
Vielen Dank, Annette. Ich find es echt witzig, dass ich durch deine Muster auf dieses Buch schließen konnte.
LöschenI love your challenge tiles. Isn't it nice to go back and redo some of our old stuff and see for ourselves just how much we have changed and developed our "style". Your new one looks more relaxed and that is shown by the lighter touch in the pen work, Your shading is very well done. I love your butterfly ATC, I may have to try some more things with die cuts or stencils, since I have a multitude of both. I love your little snowman too, very nicely. Reminds me of the gifts that my mother used to make for all of us every Christmas. Nicely done!
AntwortenLöschenThank you so much, Lezli. It was great fun to do all this and the butterflies I absolutely wanted to try. (They are all drawn not stenciled)
